A storage dewar is designed for static, long-term storage in a fixed location. It may contain free liquid nitrogen, which acts as the cooling medium for your samples. Storage dewars are not suitable for transport because liquid nitrogen can spill if the vessel is tipped or inverted.
A dry shipper is specifically built for the safe transport of cryogenic samples. It contains an absorbent porous material that locks the liquid nitrogen in place, preventing any free liquid from escaping during transit. If you need to store samples, choose from our CryoNest® range. If you need to ship samples, choose from our CryoStork® V2, V3, V4, V6 or V10. Many clinics and laboratories require both.
