An LN2 supply tank is a bulk storage vessel used to hold reserve liquid nitrogen on site, from which smaller dewars or dispensing systems are refilled as needed, rather than a vessel used to store biological samples directly. This distinguishes it from sample storage dewars, which are designed around organising and protecting stored material rather than simply holding a reserve volume of liquid nitrogen. Getting the sizing right matters: too small and you are refilling constantly, too large and you are paying for capacity and boil-off losses you do not need. Cryolab’s LN2 storage vessels and CryoCrest dispensers are commonly specified together as a supply and dispensing pair.
