The CryoStork is Cryolab’s own-brand range of dry shippers for LN2 vapour phase embryo and sperm transport. All three models in the range operate without free liquid nitrogen during transit, making them IATA-compliant for air freight and removing the dangerous goods documentation requirement that applies to liquid-phase nitrogen containers.
Selecting the right model depends on your actual worst-case transfer requirement — not your average transfer. The CryoStork V2 is the most compact model, designed for single-patient transfers where weight and footprint are primary considerations, such as courier-based or hand-carried transfers between an andrology unit and a partner clinic. The CryoStork V3 is the standard option for routine UK inter-clinic transfers carrying one to three patients per journey, and is the most widely used model in UK fertility clinics. The CryoStork V10 is designed for high-volume transfers, sperm bank logistics, and journeys where a longer static hold time is required.
Before every transfer on any model, the inversion test must be performed: hold the fully charged vessel inverted for 10 seconds. No liquid nitrogen exiting confirms the charge is complete and the vessel is operating in the vapour phase. An incomplete charge — the most commonly skipped pre-transfer check — is the most frequent cause of avoidable temperature excursion during clinical embryo transport.
