A cryogenic storage dewar is a double-walled, vacuum-insulated vessel designed to store liquid nitrogen and biological or cryogenic materials at ultra-low temperatures, typically around -196°C. The vacuum jacket between the inner and outer walls acts as a thermal barrier, dramatically reducing heat transfer and allowing the contents to remain at cryogenic temperatures for extended periods without the need for external power or refrigeration.
Cryogenic storage dewars are used across a wide range of settings including IVF clinics, fertility laboratories, academic research institutions, biobanks, veterinary practices and industrial facilities. At Cryolab, our CryoNest® XXL, CryoNest® XL and CryoNest® XXXL are our primary LN2 storage dewars, designed specifically for IVF clinics and laboratories requiring reliable, high-capacity cryogenic storage.
