A dry shipper works by absorbing liquid nitrogen into a specially engineered porous material inside the inner vessel. No free liquid remains, so even if tipped or inverted during transit nothing escapes. The absorbed nitrogen continues to vapourise slowly, maintaining cryogenic temperatures throughout the journey.
