CBS Sterile Filling Nozzles are precision components used to load cryoprotected semen into sperm straws during the sperm banking workflow. The filling nozzle attaches to a syringe and allows the andrologist to draw semen into the straw under controlled conditions, minimising air bubbles and ensuring consistent fill volumes. Air bubbles create thermal discontinuities during freezing that can damage cells unevenly across the sample, directly affecting post-thaw recovery rates.

The CBS Micro-aspirator provides an alternative approach for aspirating small volumes into fine-bore straws, particularly useful in surgical sperm retrieval cases. The CBS Syringe Connector interfaces standard laboratory syringes with CBS straw formats. Straws are then sealed with the CBS SYMS III Sealer before transfer to the controlled-rate freezer and long-term semen storage tank.
