A typical 20 litre high efficiency dewar with a standard canister system can store several thousand straws or vitrification carriers depending on the racking configuration. For IVF clinics with high sample volumes, a larger 35-50 litre vessel – CryoCan 30-6 is recommended to maximise storage density and reduce LN2 refill frequency.
